Investigators 1 south of Seattle say the Amtrak train that derailed Monday was going 80 mile per hour in a 30 mile per hour zone. Three people have died in the wreck 2 and dozens of others were hospitalized.

And California fire officials say the massive wildfire northwest of Los Angeles is now fifty percent contained. The flames have burned well over 400 square miles in Ventura and Santa Barbara counties.
