 　　First, think about how the Facebook platform has evolved.

　　首先，考虑一下脸谱网平台的演变过程。
　　We started off as this platform inside Facebook; and we were pretty clear from the beginning that that wasn’t where it was going to end up.
　　我们开始时是在脸谱网内部推出了该平台，但我们一开始就很清楚这并不是终点。
　　A lot of people saw it and asked, “Why is Facebook trying to get all these applications inside Facebook when the web is clearly the platform?”
　　有许多人看到了并问：“为什么在网络显然已成为平台的时候，脸谱网还试图将所有的应用程序放在脸谱网内部？”
　　And we actually agreed with that. It’s just that we were just getting started.
　　事实上我们完全同意这个说法，但我们那时才刚刚起步。
　　And now as time goes on, we’re shifting away from Platform inside Facebook and shifting more towards Connect (outside of Facebook).
　　现在随着时间的推移，我们正将平台从脸谱网内部拓展到连接服务，即脸谱网的外部。
　　And Connect has just a lot of advantages that I think developers will gravitate towards.

　　So, the ability for developers to have their own website with all the same functionality in it that they could’ve built inside Facebook allows them to build their own brand, allows them to have their own users more than just getting Facebook users inside the site.
　　该服务可以让他们在自己的网站上建立与脸谱网同样的功能，以打造自己的品牌，允许开发人员拥有自己的用户，而不仅仅是脸谱网网站的用户。
　　So, I just think it ends up being a stronger system than the first Facebook platform we had.

　　The structural 1 change comes from this point of openness.
　　这种结构性的转变正是来自于开放性
　　We talk about this concept of openness and transparency as the high level ideal that we’re moving towards at Facebook.
　　我们所谈论的开放性和透明度是脸谱网所追求的高层次理想。
　　The way that we get there is by empowering people to share and connect.
　　我们实现这个目标的方式是为用户的共享和连接提供更多便利。
　　The combination of those two things leads the world to become more open.

　　And so as time has gone on, we’ve actually shifted a bit more of a focus not just on directly making it so people can use Facebook and share and be open on Facebook, but instead on making it so that the systems themselves have open properties.

　　So, one analogy that we think about is a government or a nation.
　　所以，我们由此想到了政府或者国家。
　　If you want to be free, or you want to preserve freedom for people, you both need to have laws that make it so people have freedom of speech and all the freedoms that they need.
　　如果你想自由，或者想为人民争取自由，你就需要健全立法以保障公民的言论自由和其他所需要的自由权利。
　　You also need to have an open governance system where people can vote and people have representation.
　　同时，你需要为公众提供一个公开的管理系统，人们可以投票，可以陈述。
