That's what I do; I just look at the pictures. 我是这么干的，我只是看看图片。
After a "few minutes," Lucy's "phone rings" and it's her "best friend Marlene," “几分钟”后，露西的“电话响了”，是她最好的朋友马琳，

To chat, "chat," means 1 to talk to someone, usually about something that isn't very important. “聊天”意味着与某人交谈，通常涉及不太重要的事情。
