1、I am a senior student of the Department of Computer Science in our university and I am in the process of writing my Bachelor's Thesis.
【译文】我是本校计算机科学系的一名大四学生，正在准备我的学士论文。
【分析】本句常用于投诉信的开头，表明写信人的身份，含有对收信人的尊敬之意，然后再陈述所要投诉的内容。
2、I venture to write you a letter about several problems with the reading room.
【译文】我冒昧给您写信是想说明阅览室的几个问題。
【分析】此句常用于投诉信的开头部分，在表明自己的身份后清楚明了地表达自己对某事或某人的行为不满，接下来会写出投诉的前因后果和自己所希望的解决办法以及期盼对方早日给出答复等。本句还可以替换为I am writing to complain about …; I am writing to express my dissatisfaction with …；I am writing to inform you that I am dissatisfied/discontent with…等。注意投诉信应该有理有据，语气尽置客观公正。
