5、As is depicted 1 in the two drawings, a flower in a greenhouse is destroyed when exposed to the storm.
【译文】如两幅图所示，温室里的一棵花朵当被放到暴风雨中时便被摧毁。
【分析】本句常用于两幅图作文的开头，对两幅图的总体内容进行概括，然后会分别介绍并阐明寓意。be exposed to 意为“暴露于”。As is depicted in the two drawings 可以替换为 The two drawings illustrate 2 …。
6、In the first picture, the flower is shown to be healthy and strong when it is in the greenhouse while in the second picture, the flower soon dies in the real weather of heavy rains and high winds as the protection is removed.
【译文】在第一幅图中，这棵花朵在温室里健康茁壮；但在第二幅图中，当被放在暴风雨的真正天气下，失去任何保护时，它很快便死掉了。
