【点拨】l、make some headway意为“取得一些进展”。 2、ultimate value可译为“终极价值,最终价值”。 3、human effect指“对人的影响”，不可译成“人性效果”。4、may well意为“很可能”。

【点拨】1、distinguish意为“区分，辨别”。,2 、tuition有 “学费；教学，讲授；指导”等意思据语境及其修饰语direct 可知，tuition的含义为“讲授”。3、schooling 指 “学校教育”，不可译为“学校”或“上学”。
【译文】这就使得我们得以在一直讨论的广义的教育过程中进一步区分出一种更为正式的教育方式，即直接讲授或学校教育。
