【分析】此句主要用于书面通知的开头部分，交待亊件背景并写明通知的目的。事件背景中需将参与活动的时间、地点写清楚。也可以变换句型，把通知的目的写在最前面，如 Thirty or so volunteers are needed for an international conference on globalization that …，接下来 再交待所参与活动的背景: 具体内容、时间、地点等。
2、It is required that volunteers have a good command of at least one foreign language as well as cross-culture communication skills.
