　　Once upon 2 a time a little pig lived in a little house. 从前，有一只小猪住在一座小房子里。
　　He lived there with his mother. 他和他妈妈一起住在那里。
　　Two very fine apple trees grew in Mother Pig's front yard 3. 猪妈妈的前院里长着两棵非常好的苹果树。
　　They had 4 big red apples on them. 树上结满了大红苹果。
　　One morning Little Pig said 5, I wish I had an apple pie 6. 一天早上小猪说，“我想吃苹果派”。
　　Mother Pig said, I will make some apple pies 7. But first I must go to the store 8. 猪妈妈说，“我会做一些苹果派的”。但我得先去一趟商店。
　　You must stay at home. Don't let any one take the big red apples. 你必须呆在家里。不要让任何人摘那些大红苹果。
　　Little Pig said, Yes, Mother. I will stay at home and look after the apples. 小猪说，“好的，妈妈。我会呆在家里照看苹果的”。
　　So Mother Pig took 9 her basket and went to the store. 于是，猪妈妈挎着篮子去了商店。
　　By and by White Cow came 10 along 11. 没过多久，来了一头白奶牛。
　　"What fine red apples!" she said. “多好的红苹果啊！”她说。
　　"May I have one?" “我可以摘一个吗？”
　　"No, no,? White Cow," said Little Pig. “不可以，不可以，白奶牛”，小猪说。
　　Mother is going 12 to make apple pies for dinner today. 我妈妈今天要做苹果派当晚餐吃。
　　Come back this evening, and I will ask her to give you a pie. 今晚再来，我会叫我妈妈给你一个苹果派的。
　　Mother Pig's apple pies are fine. 我妈妈做的苹果派非常好吃。
　　"All right," said White Cow, and away she went down the road. “好吧”，白奶牛说，她就离开了。
　　Soon Gray 13 Pony 14 came along. 不一会儿，来了一匹灰色的小马。
　　"Hello, Little Pig!" he said. “你好，小猪”！他说。
　　What fine red apples you have on your trees! May I have one? 你家苹果树上长的红苹果真好呀！我可以摘一个吗？
　　Little Pig shook 15 his head and said," No, no, Gray Pony. 小猪摇着头说，“不可以，不可以，小灰马”。
　　Mother is going to make apple pies today. 我妈妈今天要做苹果派。
　　She makes very good apple pies. 她做的苹果派非常好吃。
　　If you come back this evening, I will ask her to give you a pie." 如果你今晚再来的话，我会叫我妈妈给你一个苹果派。
　　"All right," said Gray Pony; and away he went. “好吧，”小灰马说；然后他就走了。
　　Then Billy Goat 16 came along. 这时，山羊比利走了过来。
　　"What big red apples!" he said. “好大的红苹果啊！”他说。
　　“I'll just take three or four. 我要摘三四个。
　　"No, no, Billy Goat," said Little Pig. “不行，不行，山羊比利”，小猪说。
　　"Mother wants to make apple pies. “我妈妈要做苹果派”。
　　If you come back this evening, I will ask her to give you a pie." 如果你今晚再来的话，我会叫她给你一个苹果派。
　　But Billy Goat shook the tree and took four of the big red apples. 但是山羊比利还是摇了摇苹果树，然后拿走四个大红苹果。
　　"I will come back for the pie, too," he said. “我还会回来吃苹果派的”，他说。
　　By and by Mother Pig came home. 没过多久，猪妈妈回来了。
　　Little Pig told her about White Cow, Gray Pony; and Billy Goat. 小猪跟她说了白奶牛、小灰马和山羊比利的事情。
　　Mother Pig said, I do not like old Billy Goat. 猪妈妈说，我不喜欢老山羊比利。
　　I think I will play a joke on him. 我要跟他开个玩笑。
　　Little Pig helped his mother make apple pies all that morning. 整个早上，小猪都在帮他妈妈做苹果派。
　　Mother Pig said, Now I will make a very big pie for Billy Goat. 猪妈妈说，现在我要给山羊比利做一个大大的派。
　　That evening White Cow and Gray Pony and Billy Goat came to dinner. 那天晚上白奶牛、小灰马和山羊比利都来吃晚饭了。
　　They all sat 17 down at the table. 他们都在桌子旁边坐了下来。
　　Then Mother Pig put a big pie at each place. 然后，猪妈妈在每个座位上放了一块大苹果派。
　　Billy Goat had the biggest pie, and he began to eat very fast. 山羊比利的派最大，然后他开始吃了起来，吃得非常快。
　　All at once Billy Goat cried out, Look here! Is this a joke? 突然，山羊比利大叫起来，喂！开什么玩笑啊？
　　There are no apples in my pie. 我的派里怎么没有苹果呢？
　　Mother Pig laughed and said, You had your apples this morning. 猪妈妈笑着说，因为今天早上，你已经把你的苹果吃掉了。
　　They all laughed at Mother Pig's joke. 听了猪妈妈的笑话，大家都大笑了起来。
　　But Billy Goat was 18 so angry that he jumped up from the table and ran 19 home. 但是山羊比利非常生气，他从桌子上跳了起来跑回了家。
