　　Once there was a boy who had three fine goats. 从前，有个小男孩养了三只健壮的山羊。
　　Every morning he took them up a hill to eat grass. 每天早上，他都把他们赶到小山上去吃草。
　　The goats ate the green grass all day long. 山羊们整天都在吃着青草。
　　When night came, the boy took them home again. 夜幕降临的时候，小男孩再把他们赶回家。
　　One summer morning the boy took his goats to the hill. 一个夏日的清晨，小男孩赶着他的山羊来到了小山。
　　They began to eat grass. 山羊们开始吃草。
　　The boy was tired, and he sat down under a tree. Soon he fell asleep. 小男孩累了，他就在一棵树下坐了下来。没过多久他就睡着了。
　　When he woke up, he could not see the goats on the hill. 当他醒来的时候，他发现他的山羊不在小山上了。
　　They had gone into a corn 3 field. 山羊们去了玉米地里。
　　The boy soon found them, but he could not get them out of the field. 小男孩很快就找到了他们，但他没法把他们赶出那块地。
　　What do you think he did then? 你猜接下来他是怎么做的？
　　He sat down and cried. 他坐在地上哭了起来。
　　Then a rabbit came along. 就这这时，一只兔子走了过来。
　　"Why are you crying, little boy?" asked the rabbit. “小男孩，你为什么哭啊？”小兔问道。
　　“Oh, oh!" said the boy, I am crying because Ican not get my goats out of the field." “呜，呜”！小男孩说，我哭是因为我没法把我的山羊赶出那块地。
　　"Stop crying," said the rabbit. I will get them out. “不要哭了”，小兔说。我来把他们赶出来吧。
　　Away ran the rabbit to get the goats out of the field. 小兔跑了过去，要把山羊们赶出那块地。
　　But he could not get them out. So he sat down and cried. 但他没法把他们赶出那块地。于是，兔子坐在地上哭了起来。
　　Soon a red fox came along. 没过多久，来了一只红色的狐狸。
　　"Good morning, Little Rabbit;"he said."Why are you crying?"  “早上好，小兔”；他说。“你为什么哭啊”？
　　The rabbit said," I am crying because the boy is crying. 小兔说，“我哭是因为这个小男孩在哭”。
　　He is crying because he can not get his goats out of the field. 他哭是因为他没法把他的山羊赶出那块地。
　　The fox said, Stop crying. 狐狸说，不要哭了。
　　I will get them out for you. 我来帮你们把山羊赶出那块地。
　　So the fox ran after the goats, but he could not get them out. 于是，这只狐狸跑去驱赶山羊，但是他没有把山羊赶出那块地。
　　Then the fox sat down, too, and they all cried and cried. 然后，狐狸也坐在地上，他们全都哭了起来，哭啊哭。
　　At last a little bee flew by. 最后，飞来了一只小蜜蜂。
　　"Why are you crying, Red Fox?" asked the bee. “红狐狸，你为什么哭啊”？蜜蜂问道。
　　The fox said, I am crying because the rabbit is crying. 狐狸说，我哭是因为兔子在哭。
　　The rabbit is crying because the boy is crying. 兔子哭是因为小男孩在哭。
　　The boy is crying because he can not get his goats out of the field." 小男孩哭是因为他没法把他的山羊赶出那块地。
　　"Stop crying!" said the bee. “不要哭了！”蜜蜂说。
　　I will get them out for you. 我替你们把山羊赶出那块地。
　　Then they all looked at each other and laughed. 这时候，他们都相互看了看，笑了起来。
　　"How can a little bee do something that we can not do?" asked the boy. “我们都办不到的事，一只小蜜蜂怎么可能办得到呢？”小男孩问道。
　　"You will see," said the bee. “你会明白的”，蜜蜂说。
　　Away it flew after the goats. It stung 4 every goat 1. 小蜜蜂飞过去赶山羊了。它蛰了每只山羊一下。
　　The goats ran out of the field and all the way home. 山羊从地里跑了出来，直接跑回了家。
　　The boy laughed and ran home after them. 小男孩笑了，跟着山羊也跑回了家。
