 　　The Little Errand 1 Girl 跑腿的小女孩

　　Molly was a happy little girl. 莫莉是一个快乐的小女孩。
　　She had a father and a mother, a grandfather and a grandmother. 她的家里还有爸爸、妈妈、爷爷和奶奶。
　　Each of them had some work to do. 他们每个人都有自己的工作。
　　Father and Grandfather liked to work in the yard. 爸爸和爷爷喜欢在院子里做事。
　　Mother and Grandmother did the work in the house. 妈妈和奶奶在屋子里干活。
　　Molly helped them all. 莫莉是他们的好帮手。
　　She ran errands 2 for them. 她替他们跑腿。
　　One day Father said, Oh, Molly, will you do an errand for me? 一天，爸爸说，喂，莫莉，你能替我跑一次腿吗？
　　Please go to the store and get some grass seed for me. 去商店帮我买一些草籽回来。
　　Here is the money. 这是买草籽的钱。
　　Just then Mother called, Oh, Molly, will you do another errand? Please get me some bread. 就在这时，妈妈喊到，喂，莫莉，你能再帮个忙吗？请帮我买一些面包。
　　"All right, Mother," said Molly. “好的，妈妈”，莫莉说。
　　As she started, she said, "Seed for Father. Bread for Mother." 当她出发的时候，她说，“给爸爸买草籽。给妈妈买面包”。
　　Just then Grandfather saw Molly going out of the door. 这时，爷爷看见莫莉要出门了。
　　"Here is some money," he said. "Please get me a ball of string." “给你些钱”，他说。“请帮我买一个线团”。
　　Molly took the money. 莫莉接过了钱。
　　As she started again, she said, "Seed for Father. Bread for Mother. String for Grandfather."  出发的时候，她自言自语说，“给爸爸买草籽。给妈妈买面包。给爷爷买线团”。
　　Then Grandmother called to her, Please get some pins for me. Here is the money. Don't forget. 就在这时，奶奶向她喊道，请帮我买一些别针。钱在这里。不要忘了啊。
　　Molly took the money and went on. 莫莉带着钱继续往前走。
　　As she ran to the store, she said, Seed for Father. 她一边往商店跑，一边说，给爸爸买草籽。
　　Bread for Mother. String for Grandfather. Pins for Grandmother. 给妈妈买面包。给爷爷买线团。给奶奶买别针。
　　Soon she came to the store. 没过多久，她就来到了商店。
　　She got the seed, the bread, and the ball of string. 她买了草籽、面包和线团。
　　But she could not think what Grandmother wanted. 但她想不起来奶奶要买什么了。
　　"Was it candy?" asked the man. “是糖果吗？”售货员问道。
　　"Oh, no," said Molly. "I must sit down and try to think." “哦，不是”，莫莉说。“我得坐下来好好想想”。
　　So she sat down and thought.  于是，她就坐下来想。
　　Again and again Molly said, Seed for Father. Bread for Mother. 莫莉一遍又一遍地说，给爸爸买草籽。给妈妈买面包。
　　String for Grandfather. What for Grandmother? 给爷爷买线团。给奶奶买什么呢？
　　Then all at once Molly saw a pin on the floor. Up she jumped. 这时，莫莉突然在地板上看到了一根别针。她跳了起来。
　　"Pins for Grandmother!" she cried. “给奶奶买别针”！她喊到。
　　"Now I know what she wants." “现在我知道她想买什么了”。
　　So Molly got the pins and ran home. 于是，莫莉买了别针跑回了家。
　　Molly ran into the house. 莫莉跑进了屋子。
　　Mother, Father, Grandmother, and Grandfather were ready to sit down at the supper table.  妈妈、爸爸、奶奶和爷爷正准备坐在餐桌前吃晚饭。
　　"Molly, dear, you are just in time with my bread," said Mother. “莫莉，亲爱的，你刚好把我要的面包买回来了”，妈妈说。
　　"You got my seed," said Father. “给我买了草籽”，爸爸说。
　　"And my string," said Grandfather. “还有我的线团”，爷爷说。
　　"And my pins," said Grandmother. “还有我的别针”，奶奶说。
　　Then Grandfather took some money from his pocket and said, Here, Molly. 这时候，爷爷从他的口袋里拿出一些钱说，给你，莫莉。
　　Tomorrow you may go to the store and do an errand for Molly. 明天你可以去商店，为自己跑一次腿。
