   The Billy Goats 2 Gruff  公山羊格拉夫


  Once there were three billy goats who were all called "Gruff."  从前,有三只公山羊,名字都叫“格拉夫”。
  They wanted to grow fat.  他们都想长得胖胖的。
  Every day they went over a bridge and up a hill to eat the green grass.  每天,他们都要经过一座桥,然后爬到小山上吃青草。
  A troll lived under the bridge.  有个山精住在桥底下。
  He was a strange old troll.  他是个古怪的老山精。
  He did not want the billy goats to walk upon 3 his bridge.  他不想让公山羊从他的桥上走。
  One day the goats were going to the hill to eat grass.  一天,山羊们要去小山上吃草。
  Little Billy Goat 1 Gruff was the first to go upon the bridge.  小公山羊格拉夫第一个走上了桥。
  Trip-trap, trip-trap! he went.  他叮咚、叮咚地走着。
  "Who is going across my bridge?" called the old troll.  “谁在我的桥上走啊”?老山精喊道。
  "It is just Little Billy Goat Gruff going to the hill to get fat," said the little billy goat.  “是小公山羊格拉夫,我要去小山上吃得胖胖的”,小公山羊说。
  "Well, I am coming to eat you up," said the troll.  “啊,我要把你吃掉”,老山精说。
  Little Billy Goat was frightened.  小公山羊很害怕。
  "Oh, don't eat me. I am too little," he said. “哦,不要吃我。我太小了”,他说。
  "Wait for Big Billy Goat. He is bigger than I am."  “等大公山羊吧,他比我大”。
  "Well, be off with you, then!" said the strange old troll.  “好吧,那你走吧”!古怪的老山精说。
  Soon Big Billy Goat Gruff went upon the bridge. 不一会儿,大公山羊格拉夫走到了桥上。
  Trip-trap, trip-trap! he went.  他叮咚、叮咚地走着。
  "Who is going across my bridge?" called the troll. “谁在我的桥上走啊”?山精喊道。
  "Oh, it is just Big Billy Goat Gruff going to the hill to get fat," said the big billy goat.  “哦,是大公山羊格拉夫,我要去小山上吃得胖胖的”,大公山羊格拉夫说。
  "Well, I am coming to eat you up," said the strange old troll.  “哦,我要把你吃掉”,古怪的老山精说。
  Big Billy Goat was frightened. "Oh, no!" he said. "I am too little.  大公山羊很害怕。“哦,不”!他说道。“我太小了。
  Wait for Biggest Billy Goat Gruff. He is much bigger than I am."  等最大的公山羊格拉夫吧。他比我大多了”。
  "Well, be off with you, then," said the troll.  “好吧,那你走吧”,老山精说。
  So he went back under the bridge to wait for Biggest Billy Goat.  于是,他回到了桥下等最大的公山羊。
  Then Biggest Billy Goat Gruff went upon the bridge. He was so big that he shook the bridge.  过了一会儿,最大的公山羊格拉夫走到了桥上。他太庞大了,走起路来压得桥都一摇一晃的。
  Trip-trap, trip-trap! he went.  他叮咚、叮咚地走着。
  "Who is going across my bridge?" called the angry troll.  “谁在我的桥上走啊”?愤怒的山精喊道。
  The biggest billy goat said, "Oh, it is just Biggest Billy Goat Gruff."  最大的公山羊说,“哦,是最大的公山羊格拉夫”。
  "Well, I am coming to eat you up," said the strange old troll.  “啊,我要把你吃掉”,古怪的老山精说。
  Biggest Billy Goat Gruff was angry.  最大的公山羊非常生气。
  He shook his big head, and called, "Come on, old Troll! Just try it!"  他摇了摇他的大脑袋,并叫道,“来啊,老山精!来吃我试试”!
  The troll came out on the bridge.  山精走上了桥。
  Then Biggest Billy Goat Gruff put his head down.  就在这时,最大的公山羊格拉夫低下头用脚一顶。
  Splash 4 went the troll into the water!  山精扑通一声,掉进了水里!
  He was so frightened that he jumped out of the water and ran far away.  山精非常害怕,他跳出水面就逃得远远的。
  The troll was never seen again, and the goats were not sorry. 山怪再也没有出现过,山羊们一点儿也不觉得愧疚。
