本句是谦逊用语，礼让对方先行，以展现自己良好的教养与风度，相信对方必然会对你留下深刻印象的。 若对方是女性，我们亦可说“Lady first.”(女士优先。)
A：Here’s the restaurant we’re meeting the Smiths at.
甲：这就是我们要与史密斯家人见面的餐馆。
B：Let’s go in to wait for them.
乙：咱们进去等他们吧。
A：After you.
甲：你先请。
