1. Hundreds packed a North Carolina church today for the funeral of Elizabeth Edwards. Her daughter Kate spoke 1 about her grace, wits and charm. Sixty-one-year-old Edwards died Tuesday. She's been praised for her strength amid a series of challenges, including the death of a son and betrayal by her husband.


 


2. Authorities say they've found human remains 2 believed to be the daughter of an Alabama man already charged with murder in the girl's death. Remains found earlier this week are believed to be those of the man's three-year-old son.


 


3. One of Bernard Madoff's sons has apparently 3 committed suicide. The body of Mark Madoff was found this morning in New York. His attorney said the 46-year-old is a victim of his father's monstrous 4 crime, which includes swindling billions of dollars from investors 5.
