In a new record, Beijing’s Environmental Protection Bureau has handed down the highest fine to a company for violating pollution standards. The utility boiler 1 manufacturing company was fined after the city’s new Air Pollution Prevention Regulation took effect.

Q1: The 300,000 yuan is the highest ever fine for air pollution in Beijing. But is it really that much considering the pollution the company has caused?
