a lot of bull 在美国是一条非常流行的骂人口语，最开始从黑帮流传出来的，这里的bull事实上原本是bullshit，即“瞎扯，胡说”的意思，所以这条口语的正确意思是：“一派胡言，胡扯，胡说八道”。因此，当美国人说"That's a lot of bull!"时，他/她要表达的意思就是:"What you've just said is sheer nonsense!"、"Your opinion is all my eye!"、"That's sheer rubbish!"。
