There are high temperatures throughout northern China, with some cities exceeding 35 degrees Celsius 1. The weather authority says that Beijing and Tianjin, and regions along the Yellow River and Huaihe River are expected to endure temperatures as high as 30 degrees Celsius.
In Tianjin, more than 6,000 buses have been air-conditioned to provide relief for passengers. Members of the public are being advised to take precautions for sunstroke.
Cities across northern China are experiencing high temperatures.
