Six! struck the clock in the town hall. 六点钟，市政大厅的钟声响起。
Jack 1's mother came downstairs and raised the shades to let in the morning light. 杰克的妈妈走下楼拉开窗帘，好让清晨的阳光照进来。
Then she put on her apron 2 and began to get the breakfast ready. 接着她戴上围裙开始准备早饭！
While the food for breakfast was cooking, she spread a clean cloth over the table. 早饭正在烧着的时候，她在桌子上铺开张干净的桌布。
After that she set the table. 之后她便开始摆放餐具。
Mother knew that six o'clock was time to begin the work of the day. 妈妈知道六点钟是一天工作开始的时刻。
Seven! struck the clock in the town hall. 七点钟，市政大厅的钟声响起。
The sun was shining into Jack's room, and the boy knew that it was time to get up. 阳光照进了杰克的房间，他知道该起床了。
But he was sleepy. So he pulled the covers up over his ears to keep out the sound of the clock. 但他还是困。于是他拉着被子捂住耳朵，不想听到钟声。
It was a holiday, and Jack had planned to do nothing all day long but sleep and eat and play. 今天放假杰克打算这一天除了睡觉、吃饭和玩什么都不做。
Ting-a-ling! What was that? Jack jumped out of bed and into his clothes when he heard the loud ring of the door-bell. 丁丁丁！什么声音？听到清脆的门铃声时杰克立刻跳下床，穿上了衣服。
Then he heard his mother's voice. 接着他听到了妈妈的声音。

- I am looking for the headphone jack.我正在找寻头戴式耳机插孔。
- He lifted the car with a jack to change the flat tyre.他用千斤顶把车顶起来换下瘪轮胎。
