The Iraq war veteran accused of fatally shooting five people and wounding six at a crowded Florida airport baggage claim appeared in court on Monday morning. 26-year-old Esteban Santiago, Anchorage, Alaska, faces airport violence and firearms charges that could mean the death penalty if he's convicted.

A massive manhunt is underway in Orlando as authorities search for a man accused of shooting and killing 2 a police officer. The shooting occurred near a Wal-Mart store. The suspect has been identified as Markeith Loyd.
And keepers at Rome's zoo try to warm up the animals as the Italian city copes with the frigid 3 temperatures. Animals were fed a fare of hot food and heaters have been installed in enclosures to keep them warm.
