New York City authorities say more than 100 people suffered minor 2 injuries when a Long Island Rail Road train hit a bumping block at a Brooklyn station. Metal that appeared to be from a rail pierced the bottom of the train and the wheels lifted up. The crash also damaged a work area beyond the track.
More than 100 rebels stormed a jail in the Southern Philippines, allowing over 150 inmates 3 to escape. Officials say it was the biggest jailbreak in the country.
And the first rain and snowfall of the winter season in Pakistan has ended a month-long dry spell that has caused numerous breathing problems and water shortages. Heavy snow fell outside Islamabad on Wednesday, prompting residents to rush outside into the cold weather.
