Lucy goes into her bedroom and looks in her closet for a skirt and a blouse to wear. 露西走进卧室，打开壁橱找一条裙子和一件衬衫穿。
A closet, "closet," is a space in your bedroom where you can keep your clothes. 壁橱（closet）是卧室里可以放衣服的地方。
The clothes that you put in a closet are usually ones that you hang, "hang." 放在壁橱里的衣服通常都是挂起来（hang）的。
To hang your clothes means to put them on something so that the clothes are not folded, they are vertical 1 and they are hanging down from a bar - a pole that is at the top of your closet. 把衣服挂起来，是指把衣服放在某个东西上，这样衣服就不是叠起来放的，它们是竖直挂在一根杆子上垂下来的，这根杆子在衣柜顶部。
The thing you put your clothes on is called a hanger 2, "hanger." 你挂衣服的那个东西叫做衣架（hanger）。
So, you put your clothes, or you hang your clothes on a clothes hanger, and you put them into your closet. 所以，你把衣服放在或者挂在衣架上，然后把它们放进衣橱里。
Closets can also just be places to store things - places to keep things. 衣橱也可以是储存东西的地方，用来放东西。
It's like a big box in your room, but it's very tall, usually as tall as the person or taller. 它就像房间里的一个大盒子，但它很高，通常和人一样高，或者比人还高。
