Episode 1 four is entitled 2 "Doing Hair and Getting Dressed." 第4课的标题为“服饰发型”。
Lucy begins by going "into the bathroom to finish doing" her "hair." 露西开头说“到洗手间去完成”“发型”的最后一步。
To do your hair means to make your hair look nice. 梳头的意思是让你的头发看起来好看。
We may also say, "to fix your hair," but the most common expression is "to do your hair." 我们可能也会说:“去整理你的头发”，但最常见的表达是“梳头”。
Well, if you remember from a previous episode, Lucy had put hot curlers, or hot rollers. 如果你记得上一课的话，露西已经放了加热过的的卷发器，或者加热过的发卷。
A roller, "roller," is another name for a curler, and those are things that women put in their hair so that their hair is not straight, it has curls 3 in it. “发卷”（roller）是卷发器的另一个名字，这些东西是女孩子们放在头发上的东西，这样头发就不会那么直了，就会有卷发。
Lucy now needs "to finish doing" her "hair." 露西现在需要“完成”她的“发型”。
She says that "Before" she "put the hot rollers," or the hot curlers, "in," she "had put a little gel in" her "hair to give it some extra volume." 她说，“往头发里放加热过的卷发器之前”，也可能是加热过的发卷，她“往头发上抹了点发胶”，“让头发看起来更丰盈。”
Gel, "gel," is a thick liquid that you put on your hair. 发胶（gel），是你涂在头发上的一种粘稠的液体。
Sometimes you put it on your hair because you want your hair to go in a certain way - you want it to be flat, for example, you put the gel on top. It's a thick liquid. 有时你把它抹在头发上，因为你想让头发出现某种效果——比如你想要它是平的，就把凝胶涂在头顶。这是一种粘稠液体。
