Seeing is believing是一句家喻户晓的谚语,其出处现已无法考证,是代代普通民众长期积累流传下来的思想。这个谚语用一个中国的成语来对照就是:“眼见为实”,意译过来就是:“百闻不如一见”。因此,当美国人说"Seeing is believing."时,他/她要表达的意思就是"What you see is true."、"One eyewitness 1 is better than ten hearsays."、"A picture is worth a thousand words."。
