昆汀·塔伦蒂诺（Quentin Tarantino），1963年3月27日生于美国田纳西州的挪克斯维尔，美国后现代主义导演、编剧、演员、制作人[1] 。
1987年，拍摄个人首部喜剧短剧《我最好朋友的生日》。1991年，凭出售《致命浪漫》剧本所得的5万美元，决定开始拍摄自己的第三个剧本《落水狗》。[2] 1994年凭借执导拍摄犯罪剧情电影《低俗小说》获得戛纳影展金棕榈奖，1995年获奥斯卡最佳原著剧本奖，奠定了他的好莱坞地位[3] 。1997年，拍摄惊悚电影《危险关系》。2003年，连续推出《杀死比尔1》和《杀死比尔2 》，再掀昆式暴力美学高潮。2009年拍摄了布拉德·皮特领衔主演的电影《无耻混蛋》。2013年凭借电影《被解救的姜戈》获第85届奥斯卡奖最佳原创剧本奖[4] 。

He then wrote the screenplays for the box-office hits ‘True Romance’ and ‘Natural Born Killers’. In 1994, Tarantino made his classic ‘Pulp Fiction’ and won the Palme d'Or at Cannes.
Tarantino made a few more films before writing and directing the ‘Kill Bill’ movies. These films combined the movie styles of Chinese martial 6 arts, Japanese drama, spaghetti westerns and Italian horror. They confirmed him as one of Hollywood’s elite 7 directors. Tarantino once said: "When people ask me if I went to film school I tell them, ‘No, I went to films.’”
