Hi, welcome to CNN student news, my name isCarl Azuz. First of all today, more talks but no negotiations 1. President Obamainvited congressional leaders to the White House yesterday to discuss the USgovernment shut-down. That meeting was scheduled to happen after we producedthis program. The shut-down has to do with government spending. The affordableCare Act, also known as Obama Care, is also part of what's going on here. PresidentObama, of course, heads the government executive branch, Obama Care is hishealth care reform law. He is accusing Republicans as using it as a leverageand debate over funding the federal government. This government shut-down didnot have to happen, but I want every American to understand why it did happen. TheRepublicans in the House of Representatives were refused to fund the government, unless we defunded or dismantled 3 the Affordable 2 Care Act. I would not negotiateover congress's responsibility to pay bills is already ripped up, I not goingto allow anybody to drag the good name of United States of America to the mud, just defy action or strike ideological 4 demands, nobody gets to hurt oureconomy, no is hard work families. Overall, you don't like. Henry Reed, is theUS Senate Majority leader, his party, the Democrats 5, hold the most seats in theSenate. Senator Reed says that he will work with White House on budget issues, but not affects all about the health care law. John Banner, is the speaker ofUS House of Representatives, his Republican Party holds the most seats there. SpeakerBanner and other Republicans won't include changes of Obama Care and anyexpending plan that would end to shut-down, and the speaker accuses PresidentObama and Democrats of refusing to negotiate on health reforms. This is anissue of fairness, how couldn't we give away breaks, told the big union guy outthere, I don't give a break toward the business is out there and yet stick ourconstituents with the bill they don't want and the bill they can't afford, thatis what this fights all about, I talked to the president earlier night, I'm notgoing to negotiate, I'm not going to negotiate, I'm not going to do this is notabout me, it's not about Republicans in the congress, it's about fairness forthe American people.
