Once upon 1 a time, there was 2 a man who loved money. He loved it so much that he wouldn't spend any of the money he earned 4. He wouldn't part 5 with even 6 a tiny 7 bit 8.
This stingy man didn't buy new clothes. Instead 9, he wore old clothes that he found 10 in the garbage 11. He didn't buy food, either 12, and he became 13 skinnier and skinnier.
He put all the money that he saved 15 in a box and hid 16 it under his bed. Every night, he opened the box and looked at all his money.
One night, the man looked in the box and the money was gone! Someone 17 had 18 stolen 19 it! "I've been robbed 20!" he shouted. "My precious 21 money is gone!" He lay 22 down on the bed and cried and cried.
The neighbors 24 heard him and came 14 over to see what was wrong. When they heard the story, one neighbor 23 said 25, "Don't cry over your money. You never used 26 it anyway 27. Fill 28 the box with paper and imagine 29 it is money. It will do you just as 3 much good."
