[01:28.50]  I will never forget my first chemistry teacher.

[01:33.47]he was a little man with thick glasses,

[01:38.43]but he had a strange way of making his class lively and interesting.

[01:44.96]And his lessons were not easily forgotten.

[01:49.79]  I remember the first lesson of this teacher.

[01:54.23]After we were all in the chemistry lab,

[02:44.28]"Now watch,"he said."Remember,you must do everything as I do."

[02:51.52]He put a finger in his mouth,tasted it and smiled,looking rather pleased.

[03:03.22]Each of us dipped a finger into the mixture and sucked 4 it.

[03:08.68]Instead of smiling,we all made faces.

[03:14.04]The mixture tasted terrible.

[03:18.09]  When the cup was at last returned to the teacher,he said sadly,

[03:23.65]"I'm sorry,none of you watched carefully enough.

[03:33.34]but the finger I put into my mouth was not the one I had dipped into the cup."

[03:54.68]Once upon a time,there lived a poor farmer in a village.

[04:00.74]One day as he was driving home from the market,he dropped his knife.

[04:07.90]He jumped down from the wagon 5 and began to look for it.
