Time是时间,fly是飞, time flies就是时光飞逝。

例句-1:Is it midnight 1 already? I can't believe it! That was the quickest four hours I've ever spent. It's so wonderful talking with you. I feel like I could keep going all night and I'd still want more. When I'm with you,  time flies.  There's no other way to put it.

Time flies when you're having fun," 高兴的时候时间过得飞快。
英国18世纪的著名诗人Alexander Pope也用fly来形容时间,"swift fly the years."
例句-2:Good lord 2!  Is that really you, Kenny? Wow, look at you! You've grown like a tree. It seems like only yesterday that you didn't come up to my waist 3! How time flies! It's hard to believe sometimes. It makes me feel old!
