1. Hurricane Alex continues to churn through the western Gulf 1 with its aim on the Mexico-Texas border. The storm has sustained winds of 80 miles per hour. Forecasters expect it to make landfall tonight. It is the first Atlantic hurricane in June since 1995.

4. Larry King is hanging up his suspenders. The CNN host announced yesterday that he will be retiring after 25 years with the network. King says his last broadcast will be sometime this fall
