Douglas answered: “I expect Mr. and Mrs. Johnson think we are crazy, taking a picture at this time of night.” 道格拉斯回答说:“我想约翰逊夫妇一定认为我们疯了，在这个时候拍照。”
In a few minutes we heard Mr. Johnson calling. 几分钟后，我们听到约翰逊先生打来电话。

They're saying, ‘Those boys probably photographed a hyena 1, mistaking it for a lion.'” 他们说，‘那些男孩可能拍下了鬣狗，把它误认为狮子。'”
Mr. Johnson called: “What did you get?” 约翰逊先生喊道:“你拍到了什么?”
“Only a lion,” we answered in a careless way. “只有一只狮子，”我们漫不经心地回答。
“Well, go to sleep,” he yelled back. “We'll see in the morning.” “好吧，去睡觉吧，”他喊道。“明早再说吧。”
We all crawled under our blankets, thinking it was all over for the night. 我们都爬到毯子下面，以为这一夜已经结束了。
This was about eight o'clock. 这时大约八点钟。
We remained awake for half an hour ; then dropped off to sleep. 我们醒了半个小时;然后就睡着了。
