Forbes Magazine has listed up the 20 richest women in entertainment including women from many different fields. But they all have some things in common. Most came from humble 1 beginnings and all of them worked hard to become successful. The list was put together by Forbes Magazine's Lea Goldman and it's the subject of an e-entertainment channel special this weekend. Good morning, Lea!

Hi!

Let's put up the top 5 women on the list. Oprah is, of course, No.1.

No surprise that.

Followed by J.K. Rowling, Martha Stewart, Madonna, Celine Dion. How did you guys go about measuring a woman's net worth?

So we start by looking at the career's worth of earning, so we include everything like merchandising deals, tours, movies, everything that a celebrity 2 would generate revenue from. Then we deduct 3 for taxes. And we also deduct standard fees like management and agent fees.

OK. Have been said all that, Oprah is worth how much?

Oprah is worth $1.5 billion. It's a pretty stunning 4 figure.

And I mean, just list everything that contributes to that obviously, her show?

Her show, so Oprah is the model of the multi-platform celebrity. Everyone else follows her lead. She's on TV, she's on radio, she's on Broadway, she's in book, she's in every area (Magazines) of the media, everything, magazine. Every area she can stamp her name to, she's on it and that's the way to become a very well-be celebrity.

She's also been in the business for about 30 some ideas. But we also have some names on there, very young names (Yes) who have made a lot of money, including the Olson Twins.

Youngest celebrities 5 on this list, 20 years old. Olson Twins obviously started their career very early on in the Sitcom 6 Full House, parlayed that fame into a retail 7 empire, branded everything from bed linings 8 to toothbrushes and, and became one of Wal-Mart's biggest suppliers. They are $1 billion franchise 9.

They are worth $1 billion?

They are not worth $1 billion, and that's the misconception. Their empire generates $1 billions in sales. But the Olson Twins only take home 100 million combined.

How could you put the word only before that?

You know, you can't desensitize to zeros at Forbes.

Another young person on the list is Britney Spears, is that all from touring and, you know, album sales or and how much is she worth?

Largely, Britney comes in at $100 million now. Her career is probably the briefest of any of the women on list began in 1999 with the "Baby One More Time" album. Now she made most of her money from, from the albums and the touring, but she wasn't one point one of the biggest endorsement 10 hottest stars you can get. She did Pepsi, then she did sketches 11. So she had made a lot of money that way as well.

OK, let's take a look at the film stars on your list. Topping that area, that category is Julia Roberts.

Julia Roberts (And, go ahead) first woman in / Hollywood to break the $20 million a film mark.

Worth how much?

She is worth $140 million and that empire was made film by film. She literally 12 built that, that, that net worth film by film.

OK, so that's not merchandising or anything else.

Nothing.

But two other women in film, who are not far behind her, include Cameron Diaz, that's not just, what is she worth?

Cameron Diaz is worth less than $100 million as Nicole Kidman. So they are also on the list, but not only do they have very, you know, popular film careers where they are top leading ladies, they also have merchandising credits.

For Chanel.

Chanel for Nicole Kidman, Cameron Diaz get Shrek merchandising, so they made the money in other ways, not just movie roles.

Well, I'm glad to see finally this list of women out of their league. Goldman from Forbes. Thanks so much.

Thank you.
