Now, Uh, if you are a parent, you’ve heard a lot about drinking juice in kids. Well, that juice may help kids pack on the pounds. But a new study now at the Bello University shows that though it may not be true, and in some cases it may even help kids maintain a healthy weight. So Dr, now you, juice even with sugar and everything, could it help?

I am gonna tell you. This really surprised me, because parents are very now focused on weight control in children. And we know there is a tremendous epidemic 1 of diabetes 2 because of obesity 3 in the young. And one would think that fruit juice might contribute to that. While it turns out from this Bello study that a 100% pure fruit juice, taken on a regular basis, does not result in weight gain in these kids. Now maybe that, the kids who take this fruit juice have other things in their diet that might compensate 4 for. They may have a sense of satiety 5. But the point is if your kid likes fruit juice, a hundred percent fruit juice without any added stuff within it is not weight-gaining.

Dick, then I guess the key is real fruit juice, not the, not the stuff that's with 10% or just 5%.
Right.

That’s exactly right.

Real fruit juice for the kids. Let’s get our first viewer email now. This comes from Lisa Pattern. She says…
