The Man and the Partridge

One day，a hungry partridge came into a bird trap．She ate up the food．Then she found that she could not get out．Soon a man came．He was the owner of the trap．He saw that there was a partridge in his trap．He was very pleased．The partridge was very unhappy．She said to the man，“Oh please，if you set me free，I will lead all my friends into your trap．Then you will have more birds to eat．”
The man took the partridge out from his trap and said，“As you wanted to betray 1 your friends，you surely ought to die！”
So the man took the partridge home for his dinner．Exercises：
