　　(Guest B wants to change a room. He goes to the assistant manager A.)
　　（顾客B想换房间，他找到了经理助理A。）
　　A: Good morning, sir. What can I do for you?
　　早上好，先生。有什么能为您效劳的吗？
　　B: I'm Brown. I'm in Room 608. Can you change the room for me? It's too noisy. I were woken up several times by the noise the baggage elevator made, it was too much for me.
　　我叫布朗，住在608房间。能给我换个房间吗？这儿太吵了。我被运送行李的电梯发出的嘈杂声弄醒了好几次，简直受不了了。
　　A: I'm awfully 1 sorry, sir. I do apologize. Room 608 is at the end of the corridor 2. It's possible that the noise is heard early in the morning when all is quiet.
　　非常抱歉，先生，我向您道歉。608房间在走廊的尽头，早上四周安静的时候很有可能听到噪音。
　　B: Anyhow, I'd like to change my room.
　　无论如何，我想换个房间。
　　A: No problem, sir. We'll manage it, but we don't have any spare room today. Could you wait till tomorrow? The American Education Delegation 3 will be leaving tomorrow morning. There'll be some rooms for you to choose from.

　　B: All right. I hope I'll be able to enjoy my stay in a quiet suite 4 tomorrow evening and have a sound sleep.

　　A: Be sure. I'll make a note of that. Everything will be taken care of. And if there is anything more you need, please let us know.

　　1. “too much for” 意思是“太难，很不合适，受不了”
　　eg. Climbing the smallest hill is too much for her since her illness.

　　eg. If three cups is too much for you, substitute 5 a couple of oranges.
　　如果你觉得三杯的量太多，就改吃几个橙子。
　　eg. A secret is too little for one, enough for two, too much for three.

　　2. make a note of 把……记下来；把……作成札记（或笔记）
　　eg. I shall make a note of your statement.
　　我们将把你的发言记录下来。
　　eg. If you make a bad financial decision, make a note of it and get yourself back on track.
　　如果你做了一个很糟糕的经济决定，记下来，再重新步入正确的轨道。
　　3. have a sound sleep 睡个好觉
　　eg. We'll have enough time to find a hotel and have a sound sleep .
　　我们有足够的时间找旅馆并睡个好觉。
　　eg. I hope we'll be able to enjoy our stay in a quiet suite tomorrow evening and have a sound sleep.
　　我但愿明天未来诰日晚上我们能呆在一套惬意沉着荒僻默默的房间里睡个好觉。
