vt. 刺；使…苦恼；使…疼痛
vi. 刺痛；被刺痛；
sting谐音：死叮
I got stung by a wasp 1 yesterday.
我昨天被黄蜂蜇了。
She knew he was right, but his words still stung.

Sting-间隙感，分离感
Dis+sting+uish=distinguish
dis-是个很常见的前缀，意思为apart，分开。dis-主要出现在c,p,r,s,t等字母前面
dispense 2 [dis- = apart 分开; pense=花费，分开花费=分配]
The Red Cross dispensed 3 food and clothing to the victims. 红十字会向难民分发衣物、食品。
-ish：动词后缀，表示做...、致使...、造成...、成为...
Flourish：茂盛；繁荣 （极度地夸耀）
flour (=flower) 《拉丁文florere = to flour》flour+ish 成为花一样繁茂=繁荣
Few businesses are flourishing in the present economic climate.
在目前的经济气候下，很少有企业兴旺发达。
