-Excuse me.I'd like to make a suit of this material.Next month I'm going to Europe to attend an international meeting.

-Well,sir.Can I take your measurements first?

-Yes.Should I take off my coat?

-That'll be helpful~All right,thank you.

-Please make a single-breasted.

-No,problem.If you'll wait one monent,I'll make out your receipt.

-How much does it cost?

-Let me see,with padding and lining 1 cloth,it comes to 357 dollars altogether.

-All right.When can I get it?

-In two weeks.

-Thank you.

Dialogue 2

-Good morning,sir.

-Good morning.I'd like a business suit made with this material.

-Do you have a particular style in mind?

-The kind that never goes out of fashion,I guess.

-I think you should realize that even the most conservative style changes.

-I'm sure you're right.I just dread 2 the idea of making a new suit every year.

-The changs are usually not that dramatic.We just got some pictures of the latest fashion.Would you like to take a look?

-Good.I think I'll choose this single-breasted one.When can I get it?

-Next Friday.

-Thank you.

Dialogue 3

-Please come in ,and have a look.

-I'd like to have a spring suit made.Do you have any materials?

-Yes,we do.How about this one?

-I like it.

-May I take your size now?

-Yes,please.When will it be ready?

-Please come for it in a week.

-Is it possible to be a little earlier?I will have an important meeting to attend in three days.

-I'm afraid not.We've got a lot of things to do.

-Then maybe I'll have to buy one in the shop.

Dialogue 4

-I would like to have a new suit made.Something in a dark blue wool.

-Certainly,sir.Double or single-breasted?

-I an not sure about the jacket as I'm a little overweight.

-I see.sir.For a gentleman of your size I would recommend a single-breasted jacket as it does tend to make one look a little slimer.Just let me take your measurements.Let's see,neck 41cm,chest110cm,waist 120cm and inside leg 70cm.You do have short legs.sir.

-Yes,that is why I usually choose dark colors for my business suits.

-Can you come back in three days for a fitting?

-Certainly.

-Good that way. I can have the suit ready for you two days after that fitting.

Dialogue 5

-I'd like to look at a dark business suit,the kind that never goes out of style,something in wool,I guess.

-Right this way.We have some excellent pure wool suits.Wool is the best of everything-more comfort,more quality,more value.But as to style,you should realize that even the most conservative styles still change.The width of lapels changes,the number of buttons in front and on sleeves changes,and even the number of pockets changes.

-I'm sure you're right.It's just that I dread the idea of buying a new suit every year.

-Well,the changes are usually not that dramatic.What do you think of this one with a faint pinstripe?

-That's a bit too formal for me.I'd like a dark gray,or navy blue,or black.But I prefer a solid color.

-Black might be too solemn for someone of your age.Here ,try this tree-piece gray worsted.Worsted suits are nice and warm~.That looks almost tailor-made for you.

-It's just what I wanted.Now let me look at some accessories.I'll need a tie to go with this new suit,and also a shirt and a belt.
