1:Hey,Joe! Come on and grab 1 your jacket -- let's go out and have a couple 2 of beers just for laughs.
2:Just for laughs these guys 3 threw Mary into the pool 4 with all her clothes on. But she didn't know how to swim. So I had 5 to jump in and pull 6 her out before she drowned 7.

我们再学一个习惯用语: laugh out of the other side 8 of your mouth。让我们听个例子来体会习惯用语laugh out of the other side of your mouth是什么意思。
例句-3:Bill thought 10 he got 11 a real 12 bargain 13 because the car was 14 half the normal 15 price 16. Now he's laughing out of the other side of his mouth. The police 17 came 18 to tell him the car was stolen 19. So he loses 20 both the car and the money.
可见laugh out of the other side of his mouth这个习惯用语是用来描绘这种乐极生悲的局面的。

Have the last laugh看来意思很明白,就是笑在最后,谁能在最后笑呢?
例句-4:The boys thought they had tricked 21 the girls by locking 22 them in the kitchen. But the girls had the last laugh when the boys got hungry and realized 23 they couldn't get into the kitchen for food.
Have the last laugh这个习惯用语来自谚语: He laughs last who laughs best. Have the last laugh这个习惯用语言简意赅,含意是取得最后胜利才是真正的胜利,所以大可不必为最初的成败而情绪波动。
