The White House says President Trump 1 will meet with North Korean leader, Kim Jong Un. But it hasn't been decided 2 when or where. It also says sanctions on North Korea will stay in place until that meeting.
President Trump also ordered stiff new tariffs 3 on imported steel and aluminum 4 to take effect in 2 weeks. The president says Canada and Mexico are exempt 5 from tariffs while possible changes are negotiated to the North American Free Trade Agreement.
Up to 800,000 homes and businesses were without power in the Northeast after the second big winter storm in less than a week. More than 2 feet of snow fell in some places.
And the Army Corps 6 of Engineers opened a spillway along the Mississippi River near New Orleans. The river levels are rising and officials want to relive pressure on the city's levees.
