President Trump 1 has named a new White House Communications Director Anthony Scaramucci. On Friday afternoon, Scaramucci came out to conduct the first on-camera briefing in several days. Sean Spicer, who was the White House’ Press Secretary and Communications Director, resigned earlier in the day.
Clean-up is underway after a powerful earthquake shook seaside resorts in Greece and Turkey. The quake killed 2 tourists on the Greek island of Kos and injured nearly 500 people across the region.
In Jerusalem, an escalating 2 dispute over metal detectors 3 at Temple Mount turned violence, setting off widespread clashes between Palestinian stone-throwers and Israeli troops. 3 Palestinians were killed and several dozens injured.
On Friday afternoon, the President met with survivors 4 from the USS Arizona that was sunk at Pearl Harbor. Only 75 sailors were assigned to the Arizona battleship, survived the sink on December 7th, 1941.
