The match-up is seen as a proxy 6 for the national political atmosphere and a test of GOP strength, prompting the record-breaking spending that could exceed 50 million dollars.
And in Minnesota, a race horse decides to take a shortcut 7. Canterbury Race Track said the horse named "Tiz A Princess" threw her rider on Sunday and leapt into the middle of the track. She later jumped on course and had a near miss with the other horses. The race was declared a no-contest.
