我们已经给大家介绍过两个由out这个字组成的习惯用语。他们是：Out of the woods和out of the picture。Out of the woods 是渡过了难关；out of the picture是某人不再参与。今天我们再来给大家讲解两个和out这个字有关的习惯用语。第一个是：Out the window。
Window就是窗子。你一看到out the window这几个字可能马上会理解为：在窗户外面。但是，作为习惯用语，out the window的意思是突然失去了、或者是浪费了某样东西。我们可以突然失去钱财。要是一个人运气不好，他的辛勤劳动也可能白费，就像下面这个例子里说的一样：

下面我们要给大家介绍的一个和out有关的常用语是：out of this world。
World这个字的意思是"世界"。Out of this world并不是在这个世界以外的意思。这是一个习惯用语，它的意思是：令人激动，精彩极了，绝妙的，特别是在形容音乐、电影的时候可以用这个常用语。你也可以用 out of this world来形容一顿非常精美的晚餐。男女之间也可以用这一习惯用语来形容对方。下面这个人是在说一个你大概也非常喜欢的电影：
