 A huge night in Hollywood, Angelina Jolie taking center stage to receive one of the academy’s highest award, and there you see along with her Steve Martin and Angela Lansbury, also honored for notable film careers. It’s the Governor’s Awards, always a star-studded event and our Rachel Smith was in the middle of it all. 


 
Even for Hollywood super stars who’ve seen it all.
 
This is my first time being at the Governor’s Awards.
 
The Governor’s Awards which is hosted by the academy that brings us the Oscars is one prestigious 1 theatrical 2

The golden statuettes of the evening going to Angelina Jolie receiving the Jean Hersholt Humanitarian 4 Award.  
 
Angelina, what does this honor mean to you?
It means a great deal to me, and this is a very, very nice evening. 
When I met survivors 5 of war and famine, I learnt what life is like for most people in this world. We are all, everyone in this room, so fortunate.
