You know what, he always kisses up to our boss.

Catherine: Do you mean he always kisses the boss?

Tom: Oh, my, you'd better kill me! I said he always kisses up to the boss. kiss up to sb. means to try to please sb. excessively 1 in order to get something.

我说的是他总是kisses up to the boss,这里kiss up to sb.

He always kisses up to the boss.

kiss up to sb. This guy always kisses up to the boss.

Carl:I can't believe it! I heard the laziest guy in our company has been promoted. Ridiculous!

Amanda:Forget it! He always kisses up to the boss.
