我们来看第一题。中文句子是——我曾经在五年前做过监狱，释放后我已经改过自新了，可是人们还是处处找我的茬儿，挑我的刺。
英文句子是—— one time, I really prison I turned a new leaf, from jail. However, some of them have on my case what I five years . 这道题有12个空格，需要填写的单词依次如下: At，been，in，over，having, been, released，from，been， about，did，ago。顺利地完成此题，关键是一些表达法和语法。
首先，我们来看表达法。曾经的表述法是at one time。坐过监狱的表述法是in prison。改过自新的表述法是turn over a new leaf。释放的表述法是release sb from jail。挑刺找茬的表述法是on one's case。对......挑三拣四的表述法师on one's case about sth。下面我们就依次来看下这些短语。
1. at one time
这个短语既有“曾经，一度”的意思，也有“一次，同时”的意思。我们来看下面的例句：It's said that at one time a highway robber lived here. 据说有个拦路抢劫的人曾经住在这里。（备注：It is said that... 据说.......）You can borrow up to six books from our library. 你从我们图书借书最多是可以借6本。（备注：borrow up to 最多借......）
2. turn over a new leaf
这个短语的意思是改过自新，洗心革面，重新开始，重新做人。例如：You must turn over a new leaf and work as hard as possible. 你必须洗心革面，竭尽全力地工作。（as hard as possible 尽可能努力地；竭尽全力）I'm going to turn over a new leaf and I've decided 1 to stop drinking wine. 我要革除恶习，决定戒酒了。（stop doing sth 停止做某事）
这个短语中的关键短语是turn sth over，它的意思是使......翻转，把…翻过来。例如：Brown the meat on one side and then turn it over. 把肉的一面考黄，然后再翻转过来拷另一面。Turn over the page and turn to page 19. 把这页翻过去，翻到第19页。
3. release sb from jail
这个短语于的意思是释放某人。其中的中心词是release，它的用法是release sb/sth from sth，意思是释放或解放某人或某物。例如：He released the hostage from captivity 2 in the end. 最终他还是释放了人质。My son is very kind and released the rat from the trap. 我的儿子非常善良，他把老鼠从夹子上放走了。
其比喻义为解脱；豁免，解除等。例如：Death released him from his sufferings. 死忘解脱了他的痛苦。The medicine will release you from pains. 这些药物可以解除你的疼痛。It's a good way to have a good holiday to release you from your high work tension. 度假是摆脱工作压力的好方式。
