To live a balanced life where you enjoy all the benefits life has to offer, goal setting in the following key areas is important. 能够平衡地生活，享受生活给你带来的种种好处，应该着重从以下关键领域确立你的目标。
Your career goals—What would you like to accomplish in your career? 职业。你想通过事业来完成什么？
What level of success would you like to achieve? What’s your timing 1 for job advancement 2? 你想获得什么高度的成功？你升职的时机是什么？
Your financial goals—How much money would you like to earn? How much would you like to save each month? 金钱。你想赚多少钱？你每个月想存多少钱？
How much money do you want to have saved by the time you reach retirement 3? 到你退休的时候你想攒多少钱？
Your family goals—What would you like your family life to look like? 家庭。你想要怎样的家庭生活？
What types of things would you like to be able to do with your family? 你想和家人做什么样的事情？
What type of relationship do you want to have with your children? 你想和你的孩子维系怎样的关系？
Your spouse 4 goals—Do you want to get married? If so.What kind of relationship would you like to enjoy with your spouse? 择偶。你想结婚吗？你想和你的另一半享受怎样的关系？
Your spiritual goals—Do you believe in God or some other higher power? 心灵。你信仰上帝或其他权势吗？
If so, what is your objective to grow yourself and your knowledge in this area? 如果是，那你自我成长的目标是什么，在这个领域你想学的是什么呢？
Your health goals—How important is your health? What is your desired weight? What health issues do you need to address? 健康。你重视健康吗？你理想的体重是多少？你面临哪些健康问题呢？
Your personal goals—Do you have some personal things that are important to you? 私事。你有很重视的私事要做吗？
Do you want to improve your tennis or golf game, travel to the Great Barrier Reef or remodel 5 your home? 你想改善你的网球或高尔夫技能吗？你想去大堡礁旅游吗？你想重新装修你的房子吗？
And lastly, your social goals—What types of things do you want to do socially? With whom would you like to develop a better relationship? 社交。你想在社交方面做到什么？你想和什么样的人进一步发展关系？
Take a few minutes to evaluate some of your most important objectives and if they don’t fit within these categories, create some new ones and add them to the list. 花几分钟时间想清楚你所重视的对于你有什么价值，如果它们不属于以上范畴，可以设置新的目标范畴添加到上面的单子里。
1 timing

- The timing of the meeting is not convenient.会议的时间安排不合适。

2 advancement
n.前进，促进，提升
- His new contribution to the advancement of physiology was well appreciated.他对生理学发展的新贡献获得高度赞赏。
- The aim of a university should be the advancement of learning.大学的目标应是促进学术。
3 retirement
n.退休，退职
- She wanted to enjoy her retirement without being beset by financial worries.她想享受退休生活而不必为金钱担忧。
- I have to put everything away for my retirement.我必须把一切都积蓄起来以便退休后用。
