Yang Lan:So were you caught by surprise when Titanic 1 won over 11 Oscars?

[00:24.71]Yang Lan:Could you describe to us when the first idea of Titanicwas brought to you and how did you react to it?

[00:31.40]Murdoch:Well, Cameron is under contract to make his films or give all his first ideas to us and he pushed very hard to make this story.

[00:40.07]He was quite passionate 2. He wanted to do it. We were very nervous because there had been previous pictures about Titanic and pictures that are made out on the sea always go over budget,

[01:16.64]Murdoch:Making pictures is always very, very risky 3. And this was a big risk,

[01:23.83]so we were a little cautious 4. Now of course, we would have preferred to keep it all but we did the right thing.

[01:38.35]Murdoch:No we get 60 percent of the profits. And that’ll be a lot of money.
