Job Title: Training and Development Manager
Since opening in Shanghai in 1865, HSBC has had a continuous presence in mainland China. In tandem 1 with China’s economic development, the Bank’s services and network in the country have also grown. To support achievement of our business objectives and in line with the strategic imperative 2 relating to the attraction, retention 3 & development of talent, we are seeking a Training & Development Manager to provide effective and efficient training solutions and consultancy services to fulfill 4 our Bank employees’ job specific and career development.
Job Duties:
-Establish proactive business partnership 5 with senior managers in order to align 6 Training and Development support to key business strategies.
-Identify & oversee 7 all training requirements of employees in Mainland branches and design & deliver appropriate training or learning solutions in a timely manner.
-Provide guidance & direction to the training team and monitor the quantity and quality of training activities and seek opportunities to continually increase productivity and effectiveness.
-Contribute to the establishment of structured development programmes and provide effective & integrated training solutions that are linked to the required job competencies.
-Manage the implementation 8 of different Organizational Development strategies to pursue succession planning, employee development and identify high performers as a potential Group-wide resource.
-Provide expert technical consultancy support and manage specific projects.
-Facilitate best practice in resourcing, performance management, assessment 9 and succession planning.
Candidate Specification:
-8-10 years executive experience in Training, HR Consulting or other related area. Exposure to banking 10 industry would be an advantage.
-Strong analytical 11 and quantitative 12 and qualitative 13 research skills with an ability to think creatively and work independently and respond quickly.
-Highly developed interpersonal and presentation skills.
-Considerable design, delivery and facilitation skills. -Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to be persuasive 14, articulate and assertive 15.
-Fluency in English and Putonghua.
