From ABC news I’m Paul James, an out of control car plows 2(1) into a group of school children in Los Angeles. ABC’s Stephen Tubbs is live(2) at the scene. At this point it’s being called a tragic(3) accident(4), a woman in her sixties came to pick up her granddaughter this afternoon. Instead of hitting the brakes【刹车】though, in the school parking lot she hit the accelerator【加速器】. Eighteen people taken to the hospital, mostly kids, 4 critically hurt, eleven with minor 3(5) injuries(6). Three teachers were also seriously wounded. School at the Westminster Academy Christian 4 School here in at Eagle Rock, which is northeast of downtown LA, has been cancelled for tomorrow and four police say at this point charges(7) against the driver will not be filed【申请】.
