A total of 47 new nominations 1, including Documents of the Nanjing Massacre 2 from China, are inscribed 3 on the Memory of the World Register by the International Advisory 4 Committee of UNESCO's Memory of the World Programme, announced Friday UNESCO in a press release.
联合国教科文组织10月9日公布了47个入选联合国教科文组织世界记忆工程国际咨询委员会《世界记忆名录》的项目名单，其中，中国的南京大屠杀档案榜上有名。
世界记忆名录
世界记忆名录（Memory of the World Register）是指符合世界意义、经联合国教科文组织世界记忆工程国际咨询委员会（International Advisory Committee of UNESCO's Memory of the World Programme）确认而纳入的文献遗产（documentary heritage）项目。
根据世界记忆项目的定义，文献遗产指的是具有信息内容和载体的一份、或有逻辑连贯性的一组文献，如一个集合（a collection）、馆藏（a holding）或档案全宗（an archival fonds）。
在总共47个入选项目中，中国申报的南京大屠杀档案（Documents of the Nanjing Massacre）入选，但另一份慰安妇档案（Archives about "Comfort Women"）遗憾落选。
南京大屠杀档案共分三部分，分别包括1937年至1938年，日本侵略军占领南京期间大肆杀戮中国军民和平民的档案（the period of the massacre）；1945年至1947年，对日本战犯调查和审判的档案（documents of the post-war investigation 5 and trials of war criminals）；以及1952年至1956年，中华人民共和国司法机构提供的文件（files documented by the judiciary authorities of the People's Republic of China ）。
至此，在被列入“世界记忆名录”的346份文献和文献集合中，来自中国的已达到10份。
