据《人民日报海外版》6月26日报道，年轻人的婚姻有“七年之痒”，近日调查发现，老年人的婚姻也遭遇“退休之痒”。退休后的前十年成为老年人婚姻亮红灯的危险时期，很多人都以离婚告终。
退休之痒
“退休之痒”我们可以用retirement itch表示，用来形容退休后的老年人婚姻亮红灯的现象。我们知道年轻人的婚姻有七年之痒（the seven-year itch），它是个舶来词，源于20世纪50年代玛丽莲?梦露主演的一部电影，描述夫妻在结婚七年后开始禁不住外面的诱惑。Itch在这里作名词用，意为“痒”，它还有“渴望”的意思，如，Kathy has an itch to travel.（凯茜渴望出去旅行。）
相关调查显示，老年人离婚案件中再婚家庭离婚比重大。再婚老人由于感情基础不牢（ lack of a firm emotional bond）、财产问题（financial disputes）、子女反对（children's opposition）等种种原因，一方或双方退休后，离婚率居高不下。
此外，一些媒体调查发现，各地“退休离”（post-retirement divorces）还存在一些类似的地方，例如离婚多由女方提出；离婚者大多经济状况较好（financially well-off）；多为空巢老人（empty-nester）等。
