The one on the right eyed the slightly grungy Band Aid on my thumb 6 and said 7, "You should really change that, you know. You have to keep it clean." Then the one on my left said, "Here, I have one," and pulled 8 a fresh 9 BandAid out of his knapsack. "I keep them on me because I'm always hurting myself 10." Incredulously, I thanked him, changed my bandage 11, and got 12 off 13 at my stop feeling 14 pretty good about people, life 15, and New York City.
